Our
Natural Sciences Camp is an overnight experience designed to introduce
rising seniors (Class of 2026) and juniors (Class of 2027) to Juniata's Natural Science departments - specifically biology, chemistry, engineering, and physics.
Students will participate in hands-on lab activities in biology, chemistry, engineering, and astronomy, and stay overnight on Juniata's campus!
Each student and their family/supporters will also participate in the
First Look on Monday, July 28 and be introduced to Juniata's broader campus community and application and financial aid processes.
*Participants will be automatically registered for the corresponding First Look event when registering for the Natural Science Camp.Camp Schedule:
Sunday, July 27
9:30 AM - Camp Check-in
10:00 AM - Camp activities begin
10:15 - 11:30 AM - Chemistry Lab
11:30 AM - 12:15 PM - Picnic Lunch
12:15 - 1:30 PM - Biology Lab
1:30 - 2:15 PM - Afternoon break
2:15 - 3:30 PM - Engineering Lab
4:00 - 8:00 PM - Dinner and evening activities at Raystown Field Station
9:00 - 10:30 PM - Observatory activity (weather permitting)
10:30 PM - Overnight stay on Juniata's campus
Monday, July 28:
10:00 AM - First Look Check-in and Parent meet-up
10:45 AM - 2:40 PM - First Look
